In this epic two hour course I’ll teach you a new way to learn the modes, intervals, and arpeggios of the major scale. Next we will apply a three position fingering approach that will totally unlock the fingerboard like you’ve never seen before.  We’ll also look at other fingerings such as three notes per string and even a three plus four approach ( think Holdsworth ) all while keeping intervals in mind which  will help you play the best notes.

Additionally I’ll teach you what I call exclusive modal voicings and modal progressions used by the pros.

This course includes on screen neck diagrams and tab so no looking through files for things, it’s all laid out in front of you for easy learning.

At the heart of the course is a workout section so you can practice right along with me while building your fretboard knowledge and training your ear.

If you are serious about becoming a better musician and guitarist this course is for you.

It doesn’t matter what style you play.  Utilizing the concepts presented in this course will add a whole new dimension to your playing and the way you see the fretboard guaranteed!

Included with the course is backing tracks, transcriptions in the Sound Slice, Guitar Pro, and PDF formats as well as neck diagrams.

Solid material on application of modes. Many theoretical approaches exist that define and explain but are limited in application. If you want to uncover how to use modes effectively this is ticket. An added bonus is that it pulls together a practice method and enables neck visualization. A must for any serious improvisor.

This course is invaluable! It covers the modes and shows you how to play the 7 modes in 3 positions (and more), connect them, and also how to build chords from these modes. The latter is espcially useful to coming up with progressions, but Derryl also provides a "cheat code" on how to easily build modal progresions also!

Derryl Gabel has an extensive wealth of knowledge and experience creating Musical Masterpieces. His passion with creating music is very obvious with his approach to share his vast knowledge with his students and this brand new course really shows you a new way to look at the modes of the Major scale with a well thought approach to understanding and practicing the concepts. It is a great ear-training course as well to help with what to play over chords. The backing tracks that Derryl created for this course are fantastic and hit spot on with the spirit of a particular mode you will be working with. Jerry G.

Music theory seemed confusing. I had a hard time 'connecting the dots' because most lessons don't tie everything together. Derryl's approach to teaching is straight forward and easy to follow. Derryl has developed a very clever system that greatly speeds up the learning process. I have watched thousands of other instructional videos and some of these techniques I have not seen elsewhere. Every lesson builds and reinforces previous lessons which has helped me to grow not just as a guitarist but as a musician.

This course was a game changer for me. Once you do this you will see the neck differently. Additionally, you will find all your pentatonics right under your fingers. So 3 or 4 notes into whatever mode you are in, you will have one to the 3 pentatonics right there. This way you to sound scalular, but not. Also the m7b5 arpeggio in the 3rd position is worth the price of admission

Derryl is a true virtuoso of the guitar, and his ability is acknowledged by many of the most famous and accomplished guitarists out there. In particular, his approach to teaching is the best I've encountered, because of the way he lays the foundation you need for progressing to every greater levels of skill

Derryl's courses are always very informative and very detailed and this one is no different. There are plenty of exercises to practice and these exercises will help you learn the intervals associated with each mode. I also enjoy using the backing tracks and the Guitar Pro files to enhance my practicing.

This is the course I needed 20 years earlier. If you work through it, you really start to see all the intervals and you are suddenly able to play all scales / pentatonics / arpeggios and chords everywhere on the fretboard. I was stuck playing over/through changes and this is another huge puzzle piece to improve those skills. It's a real gem. Every serious guitar player should get this. It's a no brainer!
